Robert is Managing Partner of Orion Assurance & Advisory N.V. He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Economics and Financial Assurance and a Master’s Degree Accounting and Control. He also completed a post-graduate study as a Chartered Accountant. Momentarily Robert is writing his thesis to finalize the post master of the International Executive Masters in Finance and Control (Register Controller) at the Maastricht University in the Netherlands. Robert has provided master classes on behalf of the NBA (Dutch Accounting profession Organization) and has been a lecturer at Hogeschool Inholland Suriname.

Robert is the President of the Suriname Chartered Accountants Institute (SCAI/SUVA) and a board member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Caribbean (ICAC). He is also the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Hakrinbank N.V. the establishment of Orion, Robert was Managing Partner of the Limebridge organization, which provided (financial) advisory services for a broad client portfolio in Suriname. He worked as a Chief Auditor with the Hakrinbank in Suriname from 2008 to 2011, where he was responsible for the reorganization of the bank in accordance with international standards.

Between 2006 and 2008 he was Senior Manager Coordinator Global with Fortis Merchant and Private Banking Métier (PFS) in Amsterdam, London and Dublin. From 1999 – 2006 Robert worked for KPMG and Ernst & Young in the Netherlands and was responsible for financial audits, operational audits, corporate finance and business risk services.
